What I Do

I am a Nutritional Therapist. I help people get their health back using food, supplements (when needed) and lifestyle changes. I am not a dietitian and I am not a doctor. I am however a registered nurse. Countless times I have seen patients with chronic health conditions like diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity, autoimmune disease, cancer who ended up in Intensive Care because their condition has become life threatening. And I thought that they could prevent it or even reverse it with the right guidance and lifestyle changes. It has become MY MISSION to provide guidance, education and practical help to anyone who is motivated to make positive life changes and REANIMATE THEIR HEALTH!

My Philosophy

Food is not only fuel for your body. Food contains NUTRIENTS, like vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, antioxidants. Food is information for each and every cell in your body. Food is information for your genes too. Your body needs vitamins and minerals to run biochemical reactions. Your body is an amazingly complex creation and you can make it run smoothly by providing all the nutrients it needs and taking away things that harm it.

 

My Methods

When you’re unwell, your body is like overflowing sink. You experience symptoms like pain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatigue, brain fog. You go to your doctor and receive a prescription for medication to help with your symptoms. A drug is like a mop. You mop up the floor under the overflowing sink. It helps a little but the water keeps flowing and spilling over. I practice Functional and Lifestyle Medicine. It is a cutting edge science-based medicine that addresses the ROOT CAUSE of your condition. Functional Medicine simply aims to turn the tap off in the overflowing sink! What you eat is what your body is built of. Your body will function according to the quality of fuel you give it. Your lifestyle choices influence your body too. Lack of sleep and high stress level can make you ill quickly. Certain chronic infections in your gut can be the cause of your symptoms. I address all these factors and spend hours to research your condition. I use natural methods to achieve your goals and by doing that, avoid the side effects of medications. 

 

My Goals

My goal is to listen to your story, research your condition and look for your ‘tap’ to turn it off. Everyone is different and I don’t apply a ‘cookie cutter’ diet to you. You will receive a bespoke, holistic plan of action made especially for you and for your goals. I take everything under account- food, sleep, lifestyle, stress and genetics and pay attention to details. I might recommend private functional blood, urine or saliva tests. I might also communicate with your doctor to adjust your medications or if anything worries me. 

 

4 weeks programme

This programme consists of an initial 1-hour long consultation followed by 4 weekly 30-minutes check-ins to keep you accountable and motivated. This programme can be used as a starting point for hypothyroidism and other thyroid conditions.

8 weeks programme

This programme consists of an initial 1-hour long consultation followed by 8 weekly 30-minutes check-ins to make sure that you feel supported, motivated and accountable. This programme can be used for anyone with hypothyroidism and other thyroid conditions.

12 week programme

This programme consists of an initial 1-hour long consultation followed by 12 weekly 30-minutes check-ins. This extended programme is dedicated to Hashimoto's disease, hypothyroidism and any other thyroid disorders that can be put in remission with nutrition. It takes time to let your body heal.
