I have started this blog several times and realized I was attempting to cram a lifetime into one blog. Sooooooo for now I will start with just before pre-2017, pre-Monika that is.

I was basically feeling my way in the dark nutritionally, as well as with fitness exercises, listening to far too many so-called experts and ended up going nowhere fast. I must also confess to my (like most I suppose) extreme ignorance with veg and protein and what their massive benefits were, how to prepare them and the bigger shock of how delicious many can be if seasoned properly. Believing beans on toast or ham and pickle sandwiches with chips was reasonably healthy. Umm, not so much. Along with HOOOOOOOLY CRAPPY CRITTERS were sugar-laden cheesecakes kicking my keester. At one time, depression took over and I indulged in a big way with whiskey, gin, rum and the cheesecake. Big shocker then why I could not shift my 36-37″ waist. If not for a lifetime interest in doing my best to keep in shape, I have absolutely no doubt I would have been considerably bigger.

Annnnywho, on a relationship front, I had pretty much accepted I was highly unlikely to meet someone who also was interested in health and fitness, particularly as I was not my ideal self. Turns out I not only met this person who then became my partner but greatly surpassed what I had imagined. Along came that fateful day. An American meeting a beeeeeautiful Polish girl in a British Costa located in Tescos for a simple green tea, a chat, and the assumption it was just to be face to face as friends. We ended up hitting it off in spite of Monika’s peculiar habit of spilling water everywhere and oddly blaming me!  Ummmmmmmmmm, suppose I should confess that may have been a bit of a teensy fib and could possibly have been moi. Hey, somebody had to take the fall and Monika isn’t witnessing this text but then I supppppose she will eventually catch a glimpse of this completed blog, orrrrrrrrrrrr will she?
